After the completion of a first cycle Bachelor’s degree, you are eligible to apply for a Master’s degree in Lithuania which lasts between 1-2 years. For EU citizens, tuition fees in Lithuania typically range from 1,000 to 5,000 EUR per year for a Bachelor’s degree and 2,000 to 6,000 EUR per year for a Master’s degree, while doctorate programmes come in at a higher range of 7,000 to 8,000 EUR annually. Students from outside the EU may be subject to different tuition fees, depending on the university and programme. If you study at a university in Lithuania, you may be eligible for a state scholarship to cover the tuition fees. Tuition fees do not apply to students on exchange programmes.

Cost of living

Can I apply for a scholarship?

Also most Lithuanian universities offer scholarships from their own funds to students who satisfy the specified requirements. Interested students should apply to the specific Higher Education institution of their choice to find out if funding is available for their studies
Am I allowed to work as a student?
International students have the right to work while studying in Lithuania as long as they are enrolled in a Higher Education Institution. Students are allowed to work 20 hours per week in accordance with the legislation of Lithuania.
Can I bring my husband/wife/other family members?
Students are granted individual visas ONLY. Your spouse and other family members may always apply for a tourist visa and visit you during your studies.
